#EqualPayDay

Raise awareness for the gender pay gap today for Equal Pay Day.

Second Tuesday of April

What Does #NationalEqualPayDay Mean?

National Equal Pay Day marks how far into the new year women must work to earn what men earned in the previous year. The date changes each year based on the wage gap data, and separate dates exist for women of different racial and ethnic groups to highlight the intersectional nature of pay inequality. The day was started by the National Committee on Pay Equity in 1996.

How to Use #NationalEqualPayDay

Share statistics about the wage gap or your own experience with pay negotiation and transparency. Companies can use the day to highlight their pay equity efforts. The hashtag gets significant media pickup, so posts with specific data points tend to get shared widely.
